Ir. Daniel Yong is the Managing Director of Yong Choo Kui Shipyard Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian company with a 50-year legacy in shipbuilding and repair.

He is a professional engineer with a bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture

and Ocean Engineering from University College London(UCL).

He previously served as a councillor for the Sibu Rural District Council and was

conferred the Ahli Bintang Sarawak (ABS) award by the Sarawak State Government.
