Derick is a Registered Financial Planner (RFP), a Chartered Financial Practitioner (FChFP), and a Chartered Life Practitioner (ChLP). He is currently managing the entire Harveston Capital.

He is also licensed by the Securities Commission Malaysia as a Capital Markets Services Representative and by Bank Negara Malaysia as a Financial Adviser’s Representative.

He has had over 32 years’ experience in the areas of Individual, Family & Corporate Wealth Management, Financial Advisory, Human Development and Performance Management. Derick regularly conducts Financial Planning & Investment-related training programme and has successfully groomed many associates into professional Financial Advisers.



Besides that, he frequently speaks at public & financial industry seminars addressing the various issues related to Wealth Management and contribute articles on financial planning in the newspapers and financial journals.

He was President of the Association of Financial Advisers Malaysia (AFA) in year 2017 - 2019. He was one of the co-founding committee AFA & actively involved in the development of local FA industry.

From year 2017 to 2024, Derick led Harveston Capital to break through by receiving eight times of the "Chinese Insurance Agency 500 (CIA500) – Laurel Crown". At the same time, he also awarded the "International Dragon Award (IDA) – Individual and Group Category" for 18 years in a row and was therefore awarded the "Lifetime Membership" of IDA.
